The Executive Personal Assistant is a staff member of the Agency and not an employee of American Family Insurance.

 

Objective

The Executive Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Agency Owner. 

 

Office Operations

  • Work directly with Agent to support all aspects of daily work routine.
  • Maintain Agent’s calendar, including scheduling appointments.
  • Compose and prepare letters relating to routine correspondence.
  • Maintain paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Maintain and distribute agency reports.
  • Coordinates overall administrative activities.
  • Maintains office supply and equipment inventory levels.               
  • Oversees training and continuing education requirements.
  • Social Media Experience.

 

Education/Licenses/Designations

  • Required by state statutes to have proper insurance licensing to sell, solicit or negotiate insurance products.  This position must have at least one qualifying line of authority: Property; Casualty; or Life;
  • Valid driver’s license required

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience with bookkeeping and record keeping
  • Experience with building relationships
  • Experience with PC software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer

What you’ll do.

  • Under direct supervision perform tax and accounting assignments
  • Prepare tax returns including but not limited to 1040s
  • Prepare and index working papers
  • Use developed technical skills to deliver high quality work aligned to professional and firm standards

What you’ll need.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • 1- 2 years of experience in public accounting with tax capabilities
